On 12 November 2025, the BOOSTSCIENCE consortium officially launched the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project “Boosting Education Quality and Entrepreneurial Mindsets for Natural Sciences in Ukraine” during its online kick-off meeting.
BOOSTSCIENCE brings together 12 partner institutions from Greece, Spain, and Ukraine and is coordinated by the Hellenic Open University (Patras, Greece). The project aims to enhance the quality and relevance of Higher Education in the fields of Biology and Chemistry through curriculum modernisation, digital innovation, and strengthened cooperation between academia and industry.
Project Objectives
BOOSTSCIENCE focuses on the following key objectives:
- Modernisation of Master’s level programmes in Biology and Chemistry
- Development of an interdisciplinary module supported by virtual laboratories and computer-based simulations
- Reinforcement of university–industry collaboration to improve graduates’ employability and entrepreneurial competences
Kick-off Meeting Highlights
During the meeting, consortium partners:
- Introduced their institutional teams
- Presented their roles and responsibilities within the project
- Agreed on the governance structure and communication mechanisms
- Defined the strategic roadmap for the implementation phase
The session was moderated by Dr. Magda Spella and marked the formal start of project activities.
BOOSTSCIENCE now enters its implementation phase and will contribute to the development of resilient, inclusive, and future-oriented Higher Education in Ukraine.
